A prefab outdoor gas fireplace is an engineered unit we set, vent, frame, and finish — most go in within days. Full masonry is built stone by stone: our mason partners handle the structure while we handle the firebox, the venting, and the gas — one accountable company for everything that burns.

Cost-wise, prefab keeps you closest to fire-pit territory; masonry is the top shelf — a permanent structure whose footing has to stand up to our freeze-thaw mountain winters. Both need the same licensed gas connection if they burn gas, and in North Carolina that part is our lane and no one else's.

Gas or wood changes the build

A wood-burning outdoor fireplace needs genuine chimney height to draft, and on our ridge-and-valley lots with tall trees, downdrafts will smoke out your own patio if the height and cap aren't right — we get called to fix smoky outdoor fireplaces regularly. Every extra foot of chimney is material and labor. Gas trades the wood pile for a buried, permitted line: instant on, instant off, no embers to babysit at bedtime. Fuel follows geography — natural gas along the Asheville and Hendersonville mains, propane out toward Brevard, Fairview, and the cabins.
