Heat & Glo and Heatilator come out of the same parent manufacturer, so the bones are shared — sealed direct-vent fireboxes, proven IntelliFire ignition, and service parts we can get without drama. Where they split is ambition. Heat & Glo is built to be looked at: clean-face designs, designer fronts, and flame presence that carries a big room. Heatilator is built to be a dependable fireplace at a fair price — we call it a solid first gas fireplace, and we mean that as a compliment.

The Heat & Glo 6000CLX — 42 inches, 40,000 BTU on natural gas, Clean Face design — is the anchor of a great room, and it's the one people circle back to twice. The Heatilator Novus nXt 36 runs 26,000 BTU on natural gas with the same IntelliFire ignition as its pricier cousin.
