In Candler, yes, and the fuel picture matters. Enka-Candler sits close enough to the corridor that some homes tie into a natural-gas main, but plenty of Candler and Hominy Valley runs on propane. Either way, a nest or debris blocking the vent cap or flue starves the fireplace, and the sealed unit locks out or the open flue smokes back inside.
Fast-growing subdivisions, mixed fuel

Whether that box runs on a gas main near Enka or on propane further out in Hominy Valley, it breathes through one coaxial cap, and a spring nest or a plug of leaves chokes the burner until it trips its safety.
The Hominy Valley bowl also traps air, which is part of why clean-burning sealed appliances appeal here — but a sealed unit only stays clean-burning if its vent terminal is clear. A colonized cap makes it run weak and sooty at best, or refuse to light at all. In a valley bowl that already traps air, a smoldering, poorly vented fireplace is exactly what you do not want running indoors.
Clear it, and upgrade if it's worth it
We inspect the vent path, clear the nest or debris, screen or replace the cap, and test-fire until it drafts and holds a clean flame — confirming the safety shutoff was protecting the home rather than masking a venting fault.
