Out in Spring Creek, Gabriels Creek, and Forks of Ivy, homes lean on propane and wood — there's no natural-gas main running up those valleys. Propane needs its own orifices and higher pressures, and Mars Hill's 2,350-foot elevation adds a second adjustment on top. An LP fireplace that isn't jetted for both burns rich: soot on the glass, a soft flame, and heat below what you paid for. We dial fuel and altitude together at install.

For homeowners who also heat with wood, we install and service wood stoves and inserts too — a Regency or Kozy Heat that carries a house through the cold.
