How much clearance does an electric fireplace need below a TV?

Cool cabinet, easy clearance

An electric fireplace has no combustion and no flue — it produces a modest amount of warm air from a heating element, roughly 5,000 BTU on most models, and the cabinet stays cool to the touch. There's no rising column of hot air to worry about. That's why a TV can sit far closer above an electric unit than a gas one. Mind the warm-air outlet

The one thing to respect is where the heat comes out. Most electric fireplaces vent their warm air forward or up through a slot along the top, so you don't want to press a TV tight against that outlet and trap the airflow.
