How much heat output (BTU) does a gas fireplace lose at mountain elevation?
Here's the Marshall twist: at about 1,648 feet, the town sits below the roughly 2,000-foot line where the altitude derate even begins — so a gas fireplace loses essentially none of its rated BTU to elevation.
