Natural-gas mains have limited reach even near the downtown core, and once you're out toward Connestee Falls, Sherwood Forest, or the cabins, propane is simply what's there. Brevard sits in what we'd honestly call propane country. A handful of addresses near the built-up center may reach a natural-gas main, but most of Transylvania County — the wooded lots, the gated communities, the cabins up the gravel — runs on a tank. Setting up a propane fireplace is routine work: the appliance needs LP-specific orifices and pressure, we handle that on the bench and at install, and the tank itself is coordinated with your propane supplier. Plenty of the best hearths we sell, a Kozy Heat or a Mendota FullView, are happiest on propane.
The rain is the real enemy here
