Candler is one of Asheville's fastest-growing suburbs, and its fuel story is genuinely mixed as it grows. The newer subdivision corridor around Enka-Candler is where gas service is most established, and there a built-in fire pit makes easy sense, with the line going underground and no tank to hide anywhere. Out in rural Hominy Valley and along the Pisgah Highway, propane is still the rule, and that tips those properties toward a freestanding bowl paired with a discreet LP tank. Which look is easier really depends on your particular corner of Candler.
