Lit once, it anchors both spaces — you get real supplemental heat and a focal point inside, and the same fire becomes the centerpiece of your outdoor seating.

The details that make it safe and right

This is a build where the technical part earns its keep. The unit has to be listed for an indoor/outdoor through-wall application — not just any see-through box qualifies — and it has to be flashed, sealed, and insulated at the wall so weather, water, and the outdoor temperature don't come inside through the opening.

Venting has to be planned for both faces, and clearances to the framing on each side honored exactly. This isn't a place to improvise: done wrong, you've built a leak and a heat-loss hole into your exterior wall. We plan the wall detailing with your builder so the fireplace and the envelope both work.

One company, one permit

Because it's gas crossing your exterior wall, the fuel line is licensed work — we run it, size it to the unit, permit it with Buncombe, Henderson, Haywood, or Transylvania county, and pressure-test it, then meet the inspector. You're not coordinating a showroom, a framer, and someone licensed to make it burn on your own; we own the fireplace, the venting, and the gas, and we coordinate the wall with your builder.
