Many Backgrounds. One Standard.

Do fireplace installers offer their own workmanship warranty on top of the manufacturer's warranty?

Good ones do, and we do. The manufacturer's warranty covers the appliance's parts; our workmanship guarantee covers the install itself — the venting, the gas connection, the fit and finish. They're two separate protections. If a part fails, that's on the maker; if the flame's off because of how it was set up, that's on us to come back and fix.

Two warranties doing two different jobs

Every install we do is backed by the manufacturer's warranty plus our own workmanship guarantee — and the distinction matters. The factory warranty (limited lifetime on most of the gas units we sell) stands behind the firebox, burner, and internal parts. Our workmanship guarantee stands behind the labor: the venting run, the gas line, the clearances, the seal.

So if a valve fails inside the warranty period, we file that with the manufacturer. If the venting pitch or the gas connection wasn't right, that's ours to correct at no charge — no arguing over whose fault it is.

Why one accountable company changes the math

The trouble starts when a job gets stitched across a furniture showroom, a mason, and 'whoever's licensed to make it burn.' A problem shows up and everyone points at the next guy. When we sell it, run the gas line, install it, and back it, there's exactly one number to call.

The gas-line piece specifically

In North Carolina, running or extending a gas line is licensed work — and we permit and pressure-test every line we run. That connection carries fuel, so it's the part you most want under a real workmanship guarantee. A showroom or a handyman can't legally make it, let alone warranty it. We can, and do. Questions?
