How far out do fireplace installers usually book up?
It swings with the season. In spring and summer we can often schedule within a couple of weeks; from September into winter the calendar tightens and popular install weeks book several weeks out. There's no single number, because the book-up breathes with the weather. Through the warm months our install slots are relatively open and a straightforward job can land quickly. Once the first cool WNC evenings arrive and everyone remembers they want a fireplace, demand climbs and the schedule fills — by peak fall and early winter, the popular weeks are the first to go. Whatever the general lead time is, it's always shortest in the off-season and longest right when you're feeling the cold.
Two clocks are running
When people ask how far out we book, they're really asking about two things at once: our install calendar and the appliance's lead time from the factory. Those overlap, but both count. A common model installed into an existing opening can move fast on both clocks. A special-order finish or a linear unit gates the whole job on the factory, no matter how open our schedule looks.
