Is a bird's nest or animal in the chimney a fire or carbon monoxide hazard?
Out on Mills River's rural lots, many homes run on propane and sit surrounded by farmland and forest — which means both real wildlife pressure on the chimney and a carbon-monoxide angle you can't overlook. A nest packed into the flue is dry tinder for an ember, and if it never lights, it blocks the draft and can push propane exhaust and CO back into the house.
