Is Hampton the same company as Regency?

Yes — Hampton is Regency's sister brand. Both are built by Regency Fireplace Products (also known as FPI, Fireplace Products International), the same manufacturer. Hampton is the more traditional, classic-cast styling line; Regency covers the contemporary and heavy-duty wood-burning side. Same engineering and parts network underneath, different looks on the outside.

One maker, two design personalities

FPI builds both brands, then splits them by taste. Regency runs the broad range — serious EPA-certified wood burners like the Grandview and the Cascades stove, plus a full contemporary gas lineup. Hampton is the classic side: cast-iron-look stoves and inserts with traditional detailing.

Because they share the same bones, buyers naturally cross-shop the two. If you like the Regency engineering but want a more heritage look, Hampton is often the answer to the same question.

What that means for parts and service

Sharing a manufacturer means sharing a dealer and parts channel. Steady Flame is an authorized Regency dealer, so we can source and service across that family, and our brand-agnostic repair covers Hampton units in WNC homes too.

So whether the plate on your unit says Regency or Hampton, you're not orphaned — the same factory network stands behind both.

Which one for a mountain home

We won't push the pricier badge — we'll point you to the right one. If your priority is overnight wood burns and true grid independence, Regency's wood line is built for it; a Regency wood fireplace is the kind that kept people warm through Helene when the power was out for days.

If you want that traditional cast-iron look with modern performance, Hampton delivers it. Come see the Regency line in our Asheville showroom — we'll walk you through whether Regency or Hampton is the better fit — or book a free in-home assessment at (828) 545-0525.
