Many Backgrounds. One Standard.

Yes — Napoleon is one of the most reliable everyday gas fireplace lines we install, which is why it's our best-selling brand and we're an authorized Napoleon dealer. Well-built, fairly priced, and available with battery-backup ignition that keeps throwing heat when the power's out. Great value without feeling builder-cheap.

Why we reach for Napoleon first

Napoleon is the workhorse of our showroom — the line we point most Asheville and Hendersonville homeowners toward when they want a real gas fireplace that just works, year after year, without a luxury price tag. We're an authorized Napoleon dealer, which means genuine units, genuine parts, and factory-backed warranties. Our best-selling everyday model is the Ascent 36, a 26,500 BTU direct-vent unit whose PHAZER log set reads convincingly like real wood. It's the fireplace we install in more WNC living rooms than any other.

The outage angle that matters up here

After Helene, we field the same question on nearly every call — will it heat when the grid goes down? Napoleon's battery-backup ignition is a big reason we lean on the brand. Many gas fireplaces need household power to light and run; a Napoleon with battery backup lights and runs on battery power, so it keeps radiating heat through a multi-day outage. In the mountains, where a winter storm can drop power for days, that's not a gimmick — it's the difference between a warm room and a cold one. Central heat stops the second the power does. A Napoleon direct-vent unit doesn't.

Where it fits — and where it doesn't

Napoleon isn't the most luxurious front we sell — if you want a hand-built showpiece for a timber-frame great room around Cashiers, we'd steer you to Mendota or Heat & Glo. But for the vast majority of homes, Napoleon hits the sweet spot: clean modern styling, honest heat output, and parts we can get for years. They also make linear models (the Vector series), inserts (the Oakville X4 for converting an old wood firebox), and outdoor gas features. We'd rather get you the right appliance than the most expensive one — and for a lot of our neighbors, that's a Napoleon.
