What time of year is best to buy a fireplace?

Much of Black Mountain runs on a natural-gas main, which keeps appliance options wide — a Napoleon or Heat & Glo direct-vent unit is a straightforward add, no propane tank to coordinate. But Montreat's heavily wooded lots keep houses cool, shaded, and moisture-prone, so a chimney or venting assessment is worth doing in dry summer weather.
