Set up right for propane
Out here in Transylvania County, most homes and cabins run on propane rather than a gas main — and propane burns hotter per unit than natural gas, so a Regency gas fireplace or insert has to be configured with the correct orifices and pressures or it soots and underperforms. We handle that conversion as part of the install, coordinate the tank hookup with your propane supplier, and pressure-test the line. If you'd rather own your heat outright, Regency's wood line runs off no fuel line and no grid at all.
Brevard's rain is hard on chimneys
Brevard catches 80-plus inches of rain a year, and it shows up in cracked crowns, spalling brick, and rusted dampers — especially on the crawl-space chimney chases common around here. A sealed Regency insert with a fresh stainless liner sidesteps a failing masonry flue, and a sealed direct-vent gas unit skips the chimney entirely, venting straight out a sidewall.
