Will a fireplace company install a fire pit or fire table I bought online somewhere else?
Yes — we regularly connect and set up fire pits and fire tables homeowners bought elsewhere, as long as the unit is a listed, outdoor-rated appliance we can safely plumb. The gas line, regulator, and connection are the licensed part, and that's our lane. What we won't do is hook fuel to something that isn't certified for the job.
What we handle on a unit you already own
Bring us the pit and we take care of everything that touches gas: sizing and running the line out to the patio, installing a key valve and shutoff, setting the regulator for natural gas or propane, then pressure-testing, permitting, and meeting the county inspector. We'll also assemble it, set the pan, and place it where you want it.
This is the same division of labor as an outdoor kitchen — you supply the appliance, we make it burn safely and legally.
What we check before we light it
Before we connect fuel, we confirm the unit carries a proper CSA or UL listing, that it's rated for outdoor use, and that it's set up for your fuel — a natural-gas orifice and a propane orifice are not the same, and the wrong one soots and underperforms. If it's a built-in, we make sure the enclosure has the air vents it needs so propane can't pool.
If something's a mismatch or unsafe, we'll tell you before we ever touch a valve — no pressure, no guessing.
Why the connection has to be us
In North Carolina, running or extending a gas line is licensed work. A showroom or a hardscaper can sell you a beautiful fire table, but they legally can't connect it to fuel — we can, and we permit and pressure-test every line we run.
