Yes — in Arden we service fireplaces of any brand, and a lot of what we see are the tired open masonry fireboxes in 1980s and 90s Royal Pines and Skyland homes. Those, and any orphaned unit from a dealer that's since closed, are routine work for us. We diagnose gas or wood first and quote before any work begins.

A tired open masonry fireplace in a Royal Pines or Skyland home pulls heat out of the room and drafts poorly with age — dampers stick, firebrick cracks, liners degrade. None of that is brand-specific; it's masonry and draft work, and our NFI-certified techs handle it the same regardless of who built the firebox. Where a lot of these end up is a sealed insert with a properly sized liner, which turns a heat-losing open box into a real heater.
We fix it even if the dealer's gone
Arden's grown enough over the decades that plenty of fireplaces here were installed by companies no longer around. That changes nothing for us — repair doesn't depend on the brand, and the universal parts (thermocouples, thermopiles, igniters, valves, blowers) cross every line. On a proprietary part for an older orphaned unit, if it's discontinued we'll give you the honest repair-versus-replace read rather than run up a bill on a dead board.
Natural gas, licensed connection
Arden's on the mains, so whether we're setting an insert or servicing an existing gas unit, connecting and pressure-testing the line is licensed work — a mason can lay beautiful stone but legally can't fuel it.
