Many Backgrounds. One Standard.

Will fireplace installers install a unit I bought somewhere else?

Often not — and it's worth understanding why. Because we permit, pressure-test, and warranty the entire job, we install the appliances we supply so one company owns the outcome. If you've already bought a unit, call (828) 545-0525 and we'll talk it through honestly. Either way, we service and repair every major brand, no matter where it came from.

Why single-source is the norm

When we supply the fireplace, run and pressure-test the gas line, handle the venting, pull the permit, and meet the inspector, the whole job is ours to stand behind — the manufacturer's warranty on the appliance plus our workmanship guarantee on the install. That clean line of accountability is the point.

Installing a unit someone else bought breaks that chain. If the appliance itself was the wrong fuel, the wrong vent, or arrived damaged, we didn't choose it and can't warranty it — but we'd be the ones connecting fuel to it. That's a liability most reputable, licensed installers are careful about, and we're no exception.

Repair is the brand-agnostic exception

Service is different from installation. We service and repair all major hearth brands — Napoleon, Heat & Glo, Regency, Lopi, Jotul, and the rest — regardless of who sold or installed the unit. Pilot won't stay lit, sooty logs, a blower that quit? We'll fix it whether we put it in or not.

So if you inherited a fireplace with a house or had one installed years ago, you're covered for maintenance and repair. It's new installs of outside-bought appliances where we hold the line, and for good reason.

If you've already bought one

Don't assume the answer is a flat no — call us and describe what you have. Depending on the model, the fuel, and whether it's still under a valid warranty, there may be a sensible path, or we may carry the same unit and can advise honestly on whether starting fresh saves you money and headaches.

We'd rather steer you right than take on a job that leaves you exposed. Call (828) 545-0525 and we'll give you a straight read on your specific unit.
