Will fireplace installers install a unit I bought somewhere else?
In Candler, fuel isn't one answer, which is the first reason we prefer to supply what we install. Closer to Enka-Candler you'll find natural-gas service, but out the Hominy Valley and Pisgah Highway reaches, plenty of homes run propane. An online unit set for the wrong one soots. Already bought a fireplace? Call (828) 545-0525.
Your address decides the fuel
Because Candler runs natural gas near the Enka-Candler side and propane out in the rural valleys, the correct fuel setup depends on your specific property — not on what a website assumes. Propane needs different orifices and pressures than natural gas, and a wrong-fuel appliance soots and underperforms the moment fuel reaches it. When we supply the unit, we confirm your fuel first, set the appliance for it, then pressure-test the line we run.
That connection is licensed work in North Carolina — a showroom or a big-box seller can hand you a firebox but legally can't connect the fuel. We can, we pull the Buncombe County permit, and we meet the inspector.
Clean burning, and open repair
Hominy Valley's natural bowl can trap air, which is one reason sealed, clean-burning appliances make sense here — another thing best chosen to the site rather than to a listing. Fast-growing subdivisions with basic decorative fireboxes often want a real heat upgrade within a few years.
Repair is brand-agnostic — we service every major hearth brand around Enka-Candler and Sand Hill whether we installed it or not. It's only new installs of outside-bought units where we're careful. Fifteen minutes west — call (828) 545-0525.
