Will fireplace installers install a unit I bought somewhere else?

Propane changes everything
Propane burns hotter per unit than natural gas and needs different orifices and pressures, so a fireplace has to be built or converted for it. When you buy the appliance yourself, that's easy to miss — the listing rarely spells out fuel setup, and a wrong-fuel unit becomes a soot-making liability the moment fuel reaches it. We supply units set for propane and pressure-test the line we run.
That connection is licensed work in North Carolina — a showroom or a mason can sell you a beautiful firebox, but they legally can't connect it to fuel. We can, we pull the Transylvania County permit, and we meet the inspector so the whole job stands behind one company.
Moisture makes the venting personal
