What a free estimate actually covers
An estimate at Steady Flame isn't a number scribbled on the back of a card. We schedule a free in-home assessment, walk the room where the fireplace is going, and look at the things that genuinely drive cost — the appliance you're drawn to, how far the gas line has to travel, what venting the space allows, and whether your county needs a permit. Around here that's Buncombe, Henderson, Haywood, or Transylvania, and gas work needs one in all of them.
You walk away with a written quote you can hold onto, read over, and compare against anyone else's. None of that carries a fee, and there's no pressure to sign anything on the spot.
Why we insist on seeing the space
We'd rather get you the right appliance than the most expensive one, and you simply can't make that call off a price list.
