Can I replace my traditional fireplace with a modern linear one?

If you have an existing masonry or prefab fireplace, we can remove or infill the old opening and frame in a new direct-vent linear unit — no existing chimney required, since direct-vent vents out a sidewall or roof. The bigger the layout change, the more framing, venting, and gas-line work involved.
Two common paths
Most of these projects fall into one of two buckets. If you have an existing masonry fireplace, we can frame a new direct-vent linear unit into or in front of the old opening and cap the original flue — you don't have to keep using that chimney, because direct-vent runs its own sealed pipe out a sidewall or the roof. If you have a prefab, zero-clearance fireplace, we remove the old factory box entirely and frame in the new linear unit.
