I just bought a house with a gas fireplace that doesn't work and there's no manual — how do I figure out what's wrong?
In Marshall, two things shape the diagnosis — mixed fuel, so the rating plate has to settle natural gas versus propane first, and the French Broad gorge, whose downdrafts can trip a natural-vent unit's safety switch on a damp evening.
