In Brevard, propane is almost always the answer — the town and the cabins around it are propane country, off the natural-gas mains, so we plumb your fire pit from a tank and size the burner for LP. With 80-plus inches of rain a year here, the burner pan's drainage and venting get real attention.
Propane country, by geography
Brevard sits at 2,230 feet in Transylvania County, and there are no natural-gas mains running to most of it. From downtown out to Connestee Falls, Sherwood Forest, and the cabins tucked up toward Pisgah, homes run on propane — so a gas fire pit here means a line plumbed from your existing tank, or a new one we coordinate with your propane supplier. Because Brevard properties are spread out, we plan the tank-to-pit run carefully so the line takes the shortest safe path.
