Empire is an established American manufacturer with a broad hearth catalog, and plenty of homes around here have Empire logs burning happily. We chose Real Fyre for our showroom because log realism is where it pulls away from the field: logs cast from molds of real oak, hand-painted piece by piece. The variable that matters more than the badge

Honestly? The setup. Two well-made log sets can look completely different in two fireplaces depending on set size versus firebox, burner and ember-bed arrangement, fuel match, and flame adjustment. Propane and natural gas need different orifices and pressures — get that wrong and any brand soots. This is where buying from a licensed gas contractor instead of off a shelf pays for itself: we size the set to your firebox, match it to your fuel, connect it legally under North Carolina's gas-piping licensing, and leave you with a permitted, pressure-tested installation.

Already own Empire logs? Keep them.
