What time of year is best to buy a fireplace?

The off-season is when to get that hearth proven, not the night before a check-in.
Propane country, high and cold
Maggie Valley runs on propane — there's no gas main up here — so every fireplace decision starts with the fuel: a tank coordinated with your supplier, and an appliance orificed and pressured for LP, which burns hotter per unit than natural gas. A Kozy Heat is the right call for a propane cabin at this elevation; a Valor throws radiant heat with zero electricity, which matters when a mountain storm takes the power. Speccing that correctly is off-season work — unhurried, done well before the cold and the crowds arrive together and the roads start to get tricky.
