A gas-line trench and any masonry go far smoother on dry ground, so a January or February start lets us sequence the dig, the fuel connection, and your mason's stonework before the weather closes that window. It's the single biggest reason Brevard builds should start earlier than most.
Propane country, buried and to code
Much of Brevard and the surrounding cabins run on propane rather than a gas main, so an outdoor fire pit here usually means a buried LP line off your tank. We size and pressure-test that outdoor-rated line, set the regulator, and coordinate timing with your propane supplier — then permit it with Transylvania County and meet the inspector. A hardscaper can lay the stone, but connecting the fuel is licensed work, and that's ours.
