Sorting the propane setup, the Transylvania County permit, and any moisture repairs early keeps a winter install on track. Wait for the cold and you risk slipping past the holidays.
Propane country sets the sequence
Out here the first planning question isn't which fireplace — it's the fuel. Brevard's cabins and outlying homes are propane territory, so alongside the appliance you're coordinating a tank and regulator with your supplier and a top-off before the cold, work a natural-gas home doesn't touch. As a licensed gas contractor we handle the regulator, piping, and appliance setup and permit the line; the tank itself is scheduled with your propane company. A Mendota or Kozy Heat unit converted to run right on propane needs the correct orifices and pressure, or it soots — another reason not to rush the setup in November.
Rain writes its own repair list
