You'll want an adult home at the start and the end at minimum — to let the crew in, confirm placement and finish details, and get the operation walkthrough when we're done. You don't have to hover all day, but hearth and gas work involves a few decisions and a final sign-off that go smoother with you there.

The two moments that matter most

The start and the finish are the parts we really want you present for. At the start we confirm the exact placement — height off the floor, which wall the vent runs through, how the mantel or TV above will sit — and those are easier to settle standing in the room than over the phone. At the end we run the unit, walk you through it, and have you sign off. Everything between those two points is heads-down work the crew handles on its own.

The middle of the day is yours

Once we're rolling, you're free to work, run errands, or just stay out of the dust. We only ask that you're reachable, because occasionally a wall hides a stud, a joist, or old wiring right where the vent wants to go, and a thirty-second call — 'can we shift this six inches?' — keeps us moving instead of guessing. If you can't be home the whole time, an adult you trust to make those small calls works fine.

Inspection and follow-up

Your county inspector may need access to sign off the gas line, and we coordinate that timing with you rather than leaving you to chase it. If anything feels off after we leave — a blower rattle, a pilot that's fussy — that's covered by our workmanship guarantee, and one call brings us back.
