Clear the room and the path

The single most helpful thing you can do is open up space. Move furniture, rugs, and anything breakable out of the room, and strip the mantel and hearth bare — that TV, those photos, the candlesticks. We bring our own floor and surface protection, but nothing beats a clear room for keeping your things safe and letting us work fast. Also clear the path from where we'll park to the fireplace, since we're carrying a heavy unit through it.

Access we'll need

Our crew needs to reach a few key spots: the gas meter, the electrical panel if a blower or ignition outlet is involved, and depending on the venting, the attic, crawlspace, or a stretch of roof. Parking close to the door matters more than people expect — these units are heavy, and a long carry up a steep mountain driveway is worth mentioning to us ahead of time so we plan for it. Unlock gates, move vehicles, and point us to anything we'll need to get to.

People, pets, and heads-up items

Plan for noise and some dust during the work, and keep pets secured in another part of the house — an open door and a curious dog don't mix on install day. Have an adult home for the start and the finish. And if there's anything special — you want to keep the old stove, the driveway's tricky, a room's hard to find — tell us when you book so there are no surprises.
