Should I set up automatic propane delivery or stay on will-call if I use my fireplace a lot?

Fuel first: this is tank country

Most Brevard-area homes past downtown burn propane, and heavy winter use adds up fast at 2,230 feet. Automatic delivery puts your supplier in charge of watching the cold and topping you off ahead of your burn.

Will-call rarely saves money over the season, and it leaves an empty tank squarely as your problem — usually discovered on the coldest night, which is also when the whole plateau is calling for a fill.

Wet-season hardware has to stay reliable

Brevard takes 80-plus inches of rain a year, and that constant moisture is rough on outdoor propane hardware — regulators, fittings, and connections. A run-out compounds it: air gets pulled into the lines, and code requires a leak-and-pressure test before anything is relit. You don't want that during the March-to-June wet stretch or a hard January freeze.
