Set the tank for the whole picture
On LP, tank capacity is the number that limits everything downstream, so add up the house load plus a future fire pit, grill, and patio heater and set a tank that covers all of it. Upsizing later means another pad and another delivery coordination — cheap to get right now, disruptive to redo.
Place the tank where the propane truck can reach it through a Maggie Valley winter, and run the buried, appropriately sized line to the patio while the ground is open. Trenching a finished driveway and yard at 3,000 feet is the expensive path.
Built for a long, cold season
At 3,020 feet Maggie Valley runs cold well beyond the calendar's shoulder seasons — an outdoor hearth here earns its keep a big share of the year. If the home is a vacation rental, note that propane appliances need to light reliably after sitting idle between guests, which is a maintenance and sizing conversation worth having up front.
The propane connection — regulator, piping, appliance setup — is licensed work in North Carolina. We handle it, pull the Haywood County permit, and pressure-test the line; the tank itself we coordinate with your propane supplier.
