Who makes Superior fireplaces, and are Superior and Astria the same company?
Superior is made by Innovative Hearth Products (IHP), and yes — Superior and Astria are the same company. Both are IHP brands, along with IronStrike and the former Lennox Hearth lines. Innovative Hearth Products is a large American hearth manufacturer that builds Superior, Astria, and IronStrike, and it absorbed the old Lennox Hearth Products lines. So Superior and Astria aren't rivals — they're siblings under the same roof. In practice, Astria tends to be positioned as the more premium, feature-forward brand, while Superior holds down the value end. Many Astria models trace straight back to earlier Superior designs, which is why the two share so much DNA under the hood.
