Where do I get replacement parts for a Superior fireplace?
You get genuine Superior parts through a hearth dealer like us. Bring your model and serial number and we'll match the right blower, valve, thermopile, pilot assembly, glass, or refractory panel. Superior is a current, widely distributed brand, so parts for in-production units are easy to source, and even older models share common ignition components. Call (828) 545-0525.
Start with the rating plate
Every Superior fireplace carries a metal rating plate stamped with the exact model and serial number, whether it's a WRT-series wood-burning box or a VRT vent-free gas unit. It usually hides behind the lower louver or inside the control compartment. Snap a phone photo of it and bring those numbers in.
Guessing from the outside is how people end up ordering the wrong-height refractory panel or the wrong glass gasket twice. The plate tells us fuel type, Btu rating, and the exact build, which is what a correct part match depends on.
What actually fails, and how easy it is to get
The parts we replace most on Superior units are blowers and snap-discs, thermocouples and thermopiles, pilot assemblies, remote receivers, gas valves, door glass, and firebrick or refractory panels. For current models, these are stocked and quick.
Here's the reassuring part: many of the gas valves and ignition components in a Superior aren't Superior-specific at all. They're the same industry-standard parts used across dozens of hearth brands, so even a discontinued unit often takes a widely available valve or thermocouple. The vent-free VRT models use an ODS oxygen-depletion sensor that must be matched exactly, though, which is not a DIY item.
Why route it through us
We service all major hearth brands, so we can diagnose the Superior, source the correct OEM part, install it, and safety-check the pilot and gas pressure before we leave. In North Carolina, valve and pilot work on a gas unit is licensed work, not a weekend project.
A common WNC cause of trouble isn't a broken part at all, it's spiders and dust clogging the pilot and burner over the off-season. Either way, we'll quote it upfront. Call (828) 545-0525.
