The student and rental housing around Cullowhee and downtown Sylva gets used heavily and maintained inconsistently, so those Superior units show up with cracked door glass, a fouled valve, or a blower that's been ignored a season too long. Dillsboro's compact 19th-century homes are the opposite problem — original masonry and older chimneys where a Superior wood box needs firebrick, a refractory panel, or a damper that seats again. Same brand, and we source current OEM parts for both, but they land in different drawers. Reading the model and serial off the plate is what keeps us from ordering a wood-box part for a gas unit or the reverse.
