Are gas log BTU ratings different for propane versus natural gas?
Maggie Valley is propane country, full stop, so every gas log set here is built for propane, with a smaller orifice and higher supply pressure than a natural-gas set. That is why the rating matters: a spec sheet may list a different max BTU for the propane build, and only that figure applies to a tank-fed cabin or rental at 3,000 feet.

Every set we bring up Soco Road or out toward Jonathan Creek is the propane version by design, not something adjusted in the field, and it is set and tested for the tank feeding it.
