Idle for Weeks, Then Instant

A vacation-rental fireplace has a hard job: sit unused through the off-season, then light on the first try when guests arrive. Reliable ignition is worth seeing and asking about before you choose. A Valor's millivolt system, for instance, has no electronics to fail — it just lights.
