Fuel Depends on Where You Are

Around Mars Hill University, natural gas and simple sealed units make sense — a Napoleon Ascent that lights at the flip of a switch and asks for little. But out in the rural valleys, past the mains, propane and wood do the heavy lifting through some of the colder nights we serve.

On our floor you can see both: a Kozy Heat Springfield configured for propane, built for cold-climate homes, and a Regency wood stove that burns overnight and keeps heating with the grid down. Watching them run tells you which suits your property.

Wood Heat You Can Feel

For the valley homes that already burn wood, seeing an EPA-certified stove or fireplace lit is worth the trip — a modern Regency puts out far more usable heat, and far less smoke, than an old open firebox. You can stand close and feel the difference.

If you want the look of wood with less work, we can also show you a gas log set burning; propane behaves differently than natural gas, so seeing it lit on the right fuel matters.
