Outdoor jobs make the free walk-through matter

Mills River's wide, open valley is ideal for outdoor living, and a lot of estimates here are for gas fire pits, built-in features, or a patio heater rather than an indoor fireplace. Those visits are free and genuinely worth doing on-site: we trace where the gas line has to travel across the property, confirm the fuel source, and plan the run before quoting. Best to book these in late spring, before entertaining season, so the work is done when you want to use it.

Propane out on the large lots

Many of Mills River's rural, large-lot homes are on propane, so the estimate includes checking the tank, regulator, and pressure and making sure any appliance is set up with the right orifices for LP. That's part of pricing the job right, not an add-on fee. We pull the permit with Henderson County and meet the inspector, since running or extending a gas line — buried outdoor lines included — is licensed work a landscaper or hardscaper legally can't do.

Because the valley suits entertaining, we also see a lot of combined jobs out here — an indoor fireplace plus an outdoor fire pit or grill hard-plumbed to the same propane or gas supply — and the free estimate is where we map the whole system so one accountable company runs every line. Counters and hardscape stay with your builder; the gas and appliance side is our lane and no one else's, permitted and pressure-tested.
