Where the extra time actually goes

Out in propane country — Fairview, Candler, Brevard, and the cabins tucked up our mountain roads — there's no main to tap, so the fuel side is its own small project. If you already have a tank, we run and pressure-test new line from it to the firebox. If you don't, we coordinate with your propane supplier to set the tank, then handle the regulator, piping, and appliance setup on our end.

That coordination is the piece that stretches the schedule. The supplier works on their own calendar for delivering and setting a tank, so we plan the appliance install around it rather than the other way around. Once the fuel is there, connecting the fireplace is the same day's work it would be anywhere.

Natural gas but no service at the house yet

Along the Asheville, Hendersonville, Fletcher, and Arden mains, the gas may be in the street but not yet run to your home. That's a utility tap and meter set — their timeline, not ours. We can start the inside work and stage the line so we're ready the day the meter goes live.
