The hearth business consolidates constantly. When a maker folds or exits, its brands and tooling usually land with a successor who keeps supplying parts. Superior and Astria, for instance, carried on under Innovative Hearth Products after Lennox left the hearth business; older vent-free lines from defunct makers found homes with successor companies.
So the first question isn't 'is the brand gone' — it's 'who supports it now,' and we usually know. It pays to find out who the successor is before assuming you're stuck with a paperweight.
The parts underneath are standard
Even where no successor exists, the functional guts — valve, ignition, blower, thermocouple, pilot — came from shared suppliers like SIT and Honeywell and cross-reference to current parts. That's how we keep genuinely orphaned units running.
