Propane country changes the setup
Brevard sits in propane territory — Downtown, Connestee Falls, Sherwood Forest, and the cabins tucked up the ridges mostly burn LP. Propane runs hotter per unit than natural gas and needs its own orifice and regulator settings; a set built for the wrong fuel soots the logs and never looks right. Getting that conversion and hookup correct is the licensed part we own. A Real Fyre set is decorative first — the flame is the draw, not the heat — and it drops naturally into an existing firebox once the fuel checks out.
The wet season is hard on chimneys
Brevard catches 80-plus inches of rain a year, and that water cracks crowns, spalls brick, and rusts dampers — especially on the crawl-space chimney chases common around here. A vented Real Fyre set needs a working damper and a sound flue to draft, so we inspect the chimney before we set a single log. If the flue's failing, we'll tell you straight and lay out the fix, whether that's a repair or a sealed unit that doesn't lean on the old chimney at all.
