Why does my gas fireplace pilot light keep going out?
In Leicester, a pilot that won't hold is worth taking seriously — many rural properties here run on propane, some with limited electrical capacity, so a standing-pilot or millivolt fireplace that needs no power is often the whole heat source. That makes a healthy pilot and thermocouple the entire safety system. It's licensed, usually inexpensive work.
When the pilot is the whole system
