Steady Flame is a licensed gas contractor, and the fuel depends on where you are: newer Enka-Candler subdivisions may reach a gas main, while rural Hominy Valley and Pisgah Highway homes run on propane. Which fuel Candler runs on
Candler is a mix. Out in the rural stretches — Hominy Valley, up the Pisgah Highway — propane is common, and connecting an LP appliance is licensed gas work: the line sized and pressure-tested, the regulator set, the fireplace dialed in for propane's hotter burn and different orifices. In the newer subdivisions closer to the Enka corridor, natural-gas mains may reach the street, and then our job is the branch line off the meter. We handle either fuel and, for propane, coordinate the tank with your supplier — the connection is ours, the tank is theirs.
