My house doesn't have natural gas service — can I still get a permanently plumbed fire pit with a dedicated propane tank?
Yes. Black Mountain's downtown sits on natural gas, but the wooded lots up toward Montreat and out through the Swannanoa Valley often never got a main — those homes run on propane, and a permanently plumbed pit off a dedicated tank works exactly the same. We handle the buried outdoor-rated line and pressure-test it; your supplier owns and fills the tank.
Past the main, it's propane
Montreat's heavily shaded, spread-out lots and the valley's more rural stretches are classic propane territory — the utility line simply doesn't run up every cove. A dedicated tank feeding a fixed pit does exactly what a meter would, and if you already burn propane in the house, we can usually tie the pit into that tank rather than add another one.
