Mills River's large-lot properties and newer developments sit amid farmland and forest, and a lot of them are on propane rather than a natural-gas main. Propane needs different orifices and pressures than natural gas, and connecting the regulator and sizing the line is licensed work — not something a big-box shelf comes with. We coordinate the tank with your supplier and set the appliance to burn clean.

Getting the fuel side right is the difference between a warm room and a sooty one.

A gas fire pit — like Napoleon's Uptown, built for propane — or a full outdoor fireplace turns the patio into a three-season room. We run the buried, outdoor-rated gas line and hard-plumb it; your builder or hardscaper handles the stonework, and we coordinate.

Plan it in late spring, before entertaining season, so it's ready when you want it. A shelf can't plumb a patio.
