Propane country, LP-configured units
Fairview is propane land — the manufactured homes and cabins scattered up Cane Creek and Garren Creek almost all run off a tank rather than a natural-gas main. Propane burns hotter per unit and needs its own orifices and pressures, so the fireplace has to be built or set up for LP from the start. We spec the Napoleon, Heat & Glo, Majestic, or Superior direct-vent model in its manufactured-home listing and its propane configuration, and coordinate the tank tie-in with your supplier.
Wood is popular, but mobile homes are their own case
Wood heat is a Fairview tradition — those wooded lots make it natural, though creosote buildup is the leading chimney-fire cause without a fall sweep. A full wood-burning fireplace is rarely practical in a manufactured home, though, and vent-free units are usually restricted there. That leaves sealed direct-vent gas as the right fit: real heat, no chimney, air drawn from outside, and outage-tolerant with the right ignition.
