Heat that doesn't need the power on
Leicester is rural — Sandy Mush, Turkey Creek, Newfound Road — and some of the remote properties out here have limited electrical capacity to begin with, which changes what a fireplace should be. Superior's EPA-certified WRT4500 wood box is the cleanest answer: real heat you own outright, burning split oak, with nothing plugged in. Cold drainage makes the hearth work harder
On clear winter nights, cold air drains down Leicester's rural valleys and leaves them 5 to 8 degrees colder than Asheville proper. That's real, and it means sizing a Superior to carry the room on the coldest nights, not the average ones. Much of Leicester is on propane, so where it's a gas unit we build it for LP — hotter fuel, different orifices — so it burns clean instead of sooting.

Connecting propane is licensed work in North Carolina, so a neighbor with a backhoe can't legally run your line — we do, pull the Buncombe County permit, and meet the inspector.
