Can a fireplace dealer special-order a model that isn't in the showroom?
Yes. Brevard's timber-frame and mountain-modern homes often call for a specific centerpiece — a Mendota FullView, say, with its hand-cast log set — and that showpiece is rarely the unit burning on a floor. If it's one of our eleven lines, we spec the exact model, set it up for your fuel, and install it.
The Statement Piece Usually Comes In
The fireplaces people picture for a Brevard great room — a Mendota's convincing wood-fire look, a linear Heat & Glo with a TV above — tend to be models a showroom can't keep in every size and front. That's normal. The floor exists to let you compare flames in person, then order the one that fits your wall.
Tell us what drew you to a particular unit and we'll match it — sometimes with the exact model, sometimes with a near-twin from another line we carry that suits your venting or budget better. We'd rather land the right appliance than the priciest one.
Propane Spec and Transylvania's Wet Season
Much of Brevard runs on propane, and that changes a special order in ways that matter. Propane burns hotter per unit and needs different orifices and pressures than natural gas, so we order or convert the unit to LP and set it up to burn clean rather than soot — the same way we handle the timber-frame builds around Cashiers and Lake Toxaway.
Transylvania County also gets more than eighty inches of rain a year, hard on crowns, chimney chases, and dampers, so we favor sealed direct-vent venting where it fits. We pull the county permit and meet the inspector. Call (828) 545-0525 to start.
